Preparing for Brexit
A fixture of British news, Brexit is without doubt a critical issue for our Country and our economy. Whilst many are striving to understand the impact of the draft Brexit agreement, it is without doubt the unexpected consequences and confusion in the initial aftermath of our departure from the EU that will have the most noticeable impact on our day to day lives.
|The nature of these issues causes an unknown quantity in Brexit risk calculations - there may be no impact, there may a significant one. No one can be certain.
Scattergood & Johnson understand that any delays to shipments at Ports and Harbours will impact not only ourselves, but our direct Customers and their businesses as well as their own onward customer base. We feel it is our duty to our Customers to do what we can to mitigate such issues - we will be hoping for the best, but planning for the worst.
So that our view on Brexit is clear to our Customers, we would like to invite you to take the time to read the below letter which lays out our risk profile of Brexit and how we intend to manage that risk.
