Starett’s story begins in 1877, Laroy S. Starrett invented the first ever modern combination square which became the driving force for the founding of his company in 1880. Since then, Starrett has been manufacturing a wide range of fine precision tools for industrial, professional and consumer markets worldwide.

They have since expanded their range through patenting products and acquiring other manufacturers to diversify their product line.

To expand their market Starrett opened manufacturing plants worldwide in countries such as, Scotland, Brazil and China, with a network of distribution centres in many other countries.
