Ethernet module 4 analog output and 8 digital input/output channels


The R-4AO-8DIDO mixed digital module features two 10/100 Mbps Ethernet ports supporting ModBUS TCP-IP and serial RS485 communication with ModBUS RTU protocol. Like all models in the R Series, it is designed to meet the requirements of flexible wiring, limited installation space, and applications with high I/O density, incorporating integrated Ethernet networking.

The R-4AO-8DIDO provides 4 analog outputs and 8 digital channels, each individually configurable as a digital input or output. Configuration can be done through a web server with HTML5 support or via a DIP switch. The module's IP address, MAC address, and firmware version can be identified or configured on the LAN using the Seneca Discovery Device (SDD) tool.

The module can be connected in Ethernet daisy chain mode with fault bypass to ensure Ethernet connectivity even in the event of a module failure in the chain. Additionally, the device features the advanced "ModBUS Passthrough" function, allowing the module to redirect requests from Modbus TCP-IP to RS485, effectively serving as a gateway.
