1-port Profinet IO <-> ModBUS RTU / ASCII gateway/protocol converter
The Profinet gateway R-KEY-LT-P is characterized by its compact design and small footprint. It guarantees an excellent price-performance ratio, universality of use, and optimization of network integration costs. The R-KEY-LT-P transmits data bidirectionally between Profinet IO and ModBUS RTU / TCP-IP industrial networks.
Equipped with 1 serial port and 1 Ethernet 100 BaseT port, on the Profinet IO side, the device is compatible with most common PLCs supporting the same standard. On the ModBUS side, it works as a Master device on a serial capable of controlling a sub-network with 128 ModBUS RTU slave nodes. In ModBUS TCP-IP it can connect with 3 ModBUS TCP-IP servers. The device independently reads device registers on the serial bus or Ethernet and allows them to be accessed by a Profinet IO controller up to a maximum of 512 bytes read and 512 bytes write. Configuration and diagnostics are performed via a Simatic TIA PORTAL environment (in case of system integration with Siemens PLC) and/or CODESYS softPLC.
