S311G is both a digital indicator with analog input (V, mA, Ohm) and voltage/current generator. It is expandable with ModBUS interface which allows the analog retransmission of the measured value to an isolated output in voltage or in current.
S311G has two operanting modes: "AUTO" where it measures an analog value and retransmits it on the output; "MANUAL" where it generates a defined value on the output. In manual mode, and during the transition between one mode and the other, it is possible to configure a signal attenuation function ("bumpless transfer"). This feature avoids voltage/current dangerous surges and water hammers improving instrumentation longevity and reducing the associated maintenance costs.
