Z-KEY-P is a gateway capable of transmitting data bidirectionally between Profinet IO and ModBUS RTU / ASCII / TCP-IP industrial networks. The device is equipped with 2 serial ports and 1 Ethernet 100 BaseT port and it is compatible with most common PLCs supporting the Profinet IO standard.
The Z-KEY-P autonomously reads the registers of devices on the serial bus or Ethernet ModBUS and makes them available for access by a Profinet IO controller. The ModBUS side works as a Master device capable of controlling a sub-network with 128 ModBUS RTU/ASCII slave nodes and can manage up to 500 variables (TAGs); each ModBUS TAG is convertible to Profinet IO.
